If you or your child are in immediate danger, or if you believe someone may cause serious harm, call 911 or your local emergency services right away.
Some situations involve real violence, coercive control, or imminent harm. In those cases, the law requires heightened state intervention to protect safety. Emergency response is the correct pathway in those circumstances.
Most families in the system are not experiencing that level of danger. Most cases involve stress, conflict, miscommunication, or misinterpretation, not imminent harm. Our materials are designed to help you understand the system, recognize your rights, and stay grounded. They do not replace emergency services, crisis intervention, or legal representation.
